God of Justice

Placeholder

In an age of increasing awareness about systemic injustice, environmental crisis, escalating violence and war, and global inequality, many people of faith are asking crucial questions: How do we channel our passion for justice into wisdom-guided action? What does Scripture actually say about God’s heart for the oppressed? How have faithful communities throughout history navigated the tension between prophetic critique and practical love?
This class doesn’t offer simple answers or political talking points. Instead, it provides something far more valuable: the deep, nuanced wisdom that emerges when biblical scholarship, theological reflection, historical understanding, and pastoral wisdom converge around questions that matter urgently for our world today.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTORS
Dr. Tripp Fuller is the founder and host of the #1 theology podcast, Homebrewed Christianity. As an author, speaker, podcaster, and professional theologian he is committed to bringing the best resources from the academy to the church so we can brew a more robust faith today.

Tim Whitaker is the founder and creative director of The New Evangelicals. Growing up, he always felt at home in evangelical spaces – until years later, when his studying and questions caused him to no longer be welcomed at in his church community. Brokenhearted, but undeterred, Tim continued to pursue a deeper understanding of faith, history, theology and the evangelical church. The more he uncovers, the more he realizes the importance of advocating for the marginalized in the church, exploring the full depth and breadth of Christian faith traditions, and holding toxic churches and leaders accountable.
